Akarton GmbH invests in new production site in Schüttorf

Akarton GmbH is establishing a new production site in Schüttorf for the manufacture of corrugated packaging. This investment will create a modern production facility equipped with high-performance and energy-efficient production machinery. In addition to the core investment, the project includes measures to increase energy efficiency as well as investments in renewable energy generation. With the new site, Akarton is expanding its production capacity in Germany while simultaneously creating new permanent jobs and training positions in Schüttorf.

The investment project is being funded under the “Niedersachsen Invest” programme through resources from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The total eligible project expenditure amounts to €10,572,800. The approved funding amounts to up to €1,840,880. The project is co-financed by the European Union and the State of Lower Saxony.
